Biography
Clayton A. Smith practices in the area of bankruptcy, with a focus on bankruptcy litigation and creditor's rights. Before joining the firm of Macey, Wilensky & Hennings in 2020, Mr. Smith was a judicial law clerk for the senior floor of bankruptcy judges in the Northern District of Georgia, working under Chief Judge Hagenau, Judge Ellis-Monro, Judge Sacca, and Judge Bonapfel. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Emory University School of Law in 2019, where he served as Executive Managing Editor of the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal. While in law school, Mr. Smith worked in a variety of public and private legal capacities, including at the Coca-Cola Company and at the Georgia Court of Appeals under now-Justice Carla Wong McMillian. Mr. Smith has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame.
